Maple Tree Nursery, a proud division of Dunning Industries, was founded by Benjamin and Donna Dunning. Our nursery has grown from a modest venture into a comprehensive destination for both homeowners and contractors seeking quality plants and landscaping materials.
In November 2023, we received zoning approval to relocate our nursery and retail garden center to a more accessible location on Route 4 in Farmington. This move is part of our ongoing commitment to better serve our customers by providing a larger, more convenient space that showcases our extensive product range. The new location will feature renovated buildings, including a greenhouse and dedicated areas for contractor sales and loading.
Our Heritage
The Dunning legacy in Farmington dates back to 1917 when Benjamin's great-grandfather established Atlas Sand, Gravel, and Stone Co. Over the decades, the company evolved, adapting to the changing needs of the community while maintaining a steadfast commitment to quality and service.
In 1994, Benjamin Dunning took the helm, ushering in a new era of diversification and growth. Under his leadership, the company expanded its offerings, leading to the establishment of Maple Tree Nursery. Today, with Nicole and John, the Dunning family proudly continues this tradition into its fifth generation, exemplifying a century-long commitment to resilience, innovation, and community stewardship.
